This is the beginning of a new piece of work
I only did a level 2 in Access art and design plan to go back one day but the life of a carer oddness always as simple as just doing what you like.
I hasn’t stopped me creating art. I have ongoing projects below are some of the things I have been upto.
These are illustrations for a children’s book.
I found influence from Honore Daumier mostly due to the way he visually documented the things he observed. I tried to bring this to each of my pictures.
I also have been influenced by a band called Disturbed from the animation in the video called Land of Confusion. (A song originally by Genesis) https://youtu.be/YV4oYkIeGJc Below are seven pieces of work. Each one is of artists in the studio. This is the first picture that started the whole idea to draw artists.
Then I set out in my next piece. Trying to use new pencil techniques.
With each picture I tried to refine my technique and build on the detail which seemed to just naturally happen.
With each picture I learned more about the pencil and tried to only use a HB and a B to further improve my skills
On my next picture I decided to draw more of the surrounding area and try to capture the moment in time.
And by the time I got to my sixth drawing I felt more confident about the whole process
I came round full circle and decided to draw Ian Robson again. This time in more detail.
Following these pictures I have decided to try and develop a picture. With a slight escherichia feel, involving all the people I have previously drawn.
Above is a rough draft of the layout.
